Boop
Privacy policy · Effective July 26, 2026

Your health data is not our business model.

Boop is designed around a short data path: compatible strap, your iPhone, and Apple Health.

Health data stays local

Boop reads supported strap data over Bluetooth, processes it on your iPhone, and writes permitted records to Apple Health. Boop does not upload strap history or Apple Health data to Boop-operated servers.

Local app storage can contain offload progress, decoded samples, export identifiers, derived estimates, settings, and an activity log needed to recover safely and avoid duplicate writes.

Apple Health access

Depending on the feature, Boop may request read access to date of birth, biological sex, height, body mass, resting heart rate, and selected comparison samples. It may request write access for heart rate, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability (SDNN), steps, sleep analysis, and workouts.

You decide each permission. Boop records which outputs are estimates and includes its algorithm version in Health metadata where supported.

No account or telemetry

Boop has no user account, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, tracking pixel, cross-app tracking, or health-data cloud. Boop does not sell or rent personal data. App data is not intentionally synchronized through an app-operated iCloud container.

Website and email

This website uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. Its hosting provider may retain limited operational logs such as IP address, request time, and user agent for security and reliability.

The contact form sends your name, email address, and message through an email delivery processor to a private support mailbox. The website does not put contact messages in an application database. Do not send health data, logs, identifiers, or screenshots.

To prevent abuse, a rate-limit processor stores a pseudonymous one-way identifier and request count for up to 24 hours. It does not receive the contents of your message.

Deletion and control

Delete Boop to remove its local app container. Manage or delete records written by Boop from Apple Health’s data-source controls. Contact messages remain subject to normal mailbox retention and can be deleted on request when they can be identified.

Questions can be sent through the contact page.
